Erika Bordon
Nata ad Aosta, Italia nel 1986, proviene da una famiglia di artisti, la madre e il nonno (Guido Gelcich, allievo di Oskar Kokoschka) entrambi pittori, con una grande dedizione per la musica e l’arte.
Erika ha iniziato con la danza classica (2,5 anni) ed all’etá di 11 anni ha scelto di studiare definitivamente il violino. Ha frequentato la classe Giovani Talenti presso il Conservatorio Reale dell’Aja e ha continuato il suo studio a Rotterdam e poi a Utrecht dove ha ottenuto il suo Bachelor e Master in Music Performance.
La sua esperienza orchestrale è iniziata giá presto durante lo studio e l’ha portata a suonare in numerose orchestre tra cui la JON (JeugdOrkest Nederland), l’OGI (Orchestra Giovanile Italiana), l’Accademia della De Filharmonie (Anversa), e la Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht. Nel corso degli anni ha avuto la possibilitá di lavorare con grandi direttori come Gianandrea Noseda, Edo de Waart, Martin Brabbins, Gabriele Ferro, Kristof Penderecki, Jurjen Hempel, Jussi Jaatinen ed altri.
Nel 2011 é stata invitata dalla CREA-Orkest di Amsterdam ad esibirsi come solista durante il loro tour estivo in Italia, dove si sono esibiti a Montecatini, Firenze, Prato e San Gimignano.
Negli ultimi anni ha coltivato un grande interesse e passione per la musica da camera. Il suo repertorio di musica da camera va dal barocco al contemporaneo e ha suonato in molte diverse combinazioni strumentali.
Dal giugno 2012 é la violinista di Modelo62 ensemble professionale che si concentra sulla riproduzione di musica classica contemporanea e spesso eseguendo prime assolute di pezzi scritti fresche come ad esempio il pezzo ’e mi sovvien’ di Diderik Wagenaar scritto appositamente per questo ensemble. Anche nel Conservatorio di Utrecht si é esibita come solista nel progetto di musica contemporanea suonando Spiri (1977) di Franco Donatoni.
Ha anche interpretato il repertorio classico / romantico in diversi duo / trii /quartetti. Nel 2008 é stata invitata a tenere un recital nel Salone Ducale di Aosta in occasione del Festival Internazionale di musica da camera.
Si diverte spesso a suonare in progetti particolari in cui é coinvolta non solo musica, ma anche altri tipi di arte. Per esempio ha suonato in una produzione di teatro musicale e nel 2013 ha partecipato al progetto di The Pale Blue Dot, dove é stato combinato musica contemporanea con la poesia e l’arte visiva.
Ha inoltre ha partecipato a diverse masterclass di violino da Ilya Grubert, Elisabeth Perry, Jean-Jacques Kantorov, Stefano Pagliani, Berent Korfker, Pavel Vernikov, Dimitri Chichlov Vivienne Mackie e Yayoi Toda.
